Porsche Malaysia launches the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé in Malaysia

Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance, officially announced the new Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé variant for Malaysia, following the successful launch of this variant in Thailand. The sporty SUV is the second model to be assembled in Malaysia and is the first model assembled for regional export. The Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé is now available in Malaysia with prices from RM 728,000. Interested customers may contact their nearest Porsche Centre for bookings.

“Since establishing our local assembly facility in Malaysia in 2022, Porsche has reached several key milestones that highlight the importance of this market. In just one year, more than 1,000 locally assembled Cayennes have been delivered to Malaysian customers, a clear indication of the strong demand and the trust placed in the Porsche brand,” said Mr. Christopher Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Sime Darby Auto Performance.

“In 2024, we marked another significant achievement with the launch of the first regionally assembled Cayenne for Thailand, reinforcing our commitment to becoming a strong assembly partner to Porsche in this region. Building on this momentum, we are excited to launch a second model, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé in Malaysia for our customers,” Mr Hunter continued.

An expressive and athletic appearance
The new Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé features a particularly expressive and athletic appearance, and customers in Malaysia can now personalise this with a choice between Carrara White Metallic, Chromite Black Metallic and Dolomite Silver Metallic exterior paint at no additional cost. 20-inch Cayenne S Design wheels in Vesuvius Grey further endow the SUV with a more luxurious and sportier look.

In addition, the new and redesigned HD Matrix LED headlights come as standard, with two high-definition modules and more than 32,000 pixels per headlamp to provide ample visibility and safety for the driver and occupants.

Inside, the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé is enhanced with many additional features. For the first time, a GT Sports steering wheel and the Sport Chrono package with Porsche Design clock are included as standard features, greatly elevating the sense of sportiness and luxury for the driver upon entry.

Furthermore, the luxury SUV comes equipped as standard with a premium BOSE® Surround Sound System, two choices of smooth-finish leather upholstery in Black or Bordeaux Red with Porsche crests on the front headrests, four-zone climate control, an interior air quality ioniser, 14-way adjustable comfort seats with memory package and electric roll-up sunblinds for the rear side windows.

Driver assistance systems are also enhanced with convenient technology features like Adaptive Cruise Control, ParkAssist including Surround View and Smartphone integration with Apple® CarPlay. Passengers are also treated to a premium occupant experience with Rear Seat Entertainment pre-wiring available as standard. As an option, two rear screens can be easily installed for passengers’ viewing pleasure.

A new 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment screen are standard part of the new Porsche Driver Experience. The automatic gear selector in the new Cayenne is now positioned to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. This makes room on the new centre console for storage compartments and a large air conditioning controller in an elegant black panel design. Large, easily accessible controls combined with mechanical air conditioning switches and volume controller ensure optimum usability and a refined look.

Efficiency redefined
The new Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé combines the dynamic demands of the Cayenne S with the progressive drive concept of the Cayenne E-Hybrid. In doing so, the sports car manufacturer creates yet another exhilarating point of access to efficient and advanced hybrid technology.

With 260 kW (353 PS), the 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé has 36 kW (49 PS) more power than the powerplant in the Cayenne E-Hybrid. Together with the new electric motor, this results in a system output of 382 kW (519 PS). The SUV Coupé accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 263 km/h. The electric-only range is up to 90 km (EAER City), perfect for daily commutes within Malaysian cities.

Enhanced comfort: suspension innovations
Porsche now equips the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé as standard with a new adaptive air suspension including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with two-chamber, two-valve technology. This improves the driving experience, stabilises the vehicle and simplifies handling on- and off-road compared to both the standard suspension and the previous model. At the same time, the adaptive air suspension improves driving precision, performance and reduces body movements in dynamic driving situations, offering a sharper differentiation between Normal, Sport and Sport Plus driving modes.

In the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the standard adaptive air suspension contributes to the combination of increased performance and greater driving comfort. Its innovative two-chamber, two-valve technology enables a particularly wide spectrum of spring rates, ranging from extremely comfortable to high performance, dynamic behaviour.
